In order to win the bid for the New York City intersection modernization contract, U.S. Traffic and Peek Traffic have created the most rigorously tested set of ATC controllers and cabinets in the world. Our ATC controllers come in two versions: the compact Central Business District, or CBD, version that was engineered specifically to fit into the minute New York City central business district cabinets, and the TS/2 Type 1 version of that same controller.
The ATC controllers from Peek Traffic are the next generation in advanced transportation
control. They utilize the latest in advanced embedded technology to provide the
reliable and flexible operation required in today’s advanced traffic control
operations. The Peek ATC’s innovative features, such as memory management
control, allow for implementation of process isolation to ensure operational
integrity. And, they work with IQ Central, out of the box.
Using an X86-based hardware platform and Real Time Operating Systems make
the ATC controllers extremely flexible, allowing for rapid software implementation and
modification. Application software upgrades are simple to implement, using
the high-speed Ethernet port or the optional Ethernet port.
With these advanced features housed in the remarkably compact case of the CBD unit, and the NEMA standards compliant case of the TS/2 Type 1 unit, the
ATC controllers from Peek Traffic set a new benchmark for performance and versatility.
True NTCIP Compliance
The controllers' traffic application software is NTCIP software
compliant ensuring easy integration into any
NTCIP or ITS traffic control system. The ATC controllers also
interface easily with IQ Central™, Peek’s advanced
central control system, which also interfaces easily with legacy
Peek & USTC controllers, as well as other NTCIP compliant
devices.
Programming Options
Intersections configuration is made easy with
the available laptop computer interface software, IQ Link,
allowing for prior configuration and rapid download
in the field. Or, you can download the new configuration from an NTCIP compliant
central system such as IQ Central. Store the configuration to a
portable USB “flash drive” and download the programming to the controller in the field
in seconds!
Communications Options
These options allow for interfacing to numerous
communication infrastructures, including:
- Existing 1200 baud twisted pair
- High-speed serial (RS232) up to 115kbps
- Fiber-optic modems
- Wireless systems
- LAN/WAN applications
And we are not standing still. Stay tuned for the latest news about our ATC line of traffic controllers to see what we have planned next . . .
